Found them

Started out a little late as my partner today was late. No worries, let’s go! Started out quiet in the first few spots. Watching the weather report and said we better get out and back early as the afternoon was forecast to be a bit sporty. Ran down the beach for a bit and found some birds working with a few boat in chase. Started our drift far away and just observed. Birds diving, good size boils and folks were throwing the usual popping plugs, diamond jigs etc. but not many hook ups. Watching a bird carry its food over the boat and what did we see, a monster sand eel in its mouth. Ok, switch up the offerings and restart the drift. Game on! Managed close to 40 fish, 2 slots, one under and the rest over up to 35 inches. Had some folks roll up and say “what are you guys using”. We helped the courteous folks and they managed a few. Otherwise not many were caught. They were finicky but we obviously dialed them in. Wind started picking up so back to the dock we went.
