This year JB Field 6 has been slow to develop. IT was flat in the beginning of the year, hardly any structure - Now it has started to produce for me and tonight was a total Win!

Caught 2 15 in Weakfish, 1 on a green gulp rigged Carolina style and the other on a 1oz pink tin

There were also a few drop and one really big bite that almost pulled the pole from my hand.

I'll be back all week now!

You sure they're weaks and not kingfish?

Positive. King fish don't have yellow fins and fangs

Follow up with a yellow bucktail and yellow otter tail, or white bucktail with a yellow otter tail or such. 1 - 1.5 ounce depending on surf conditions. Work slow and low nice and steady with maybe a slight twitch here and there. Early morning, or last light.

Go back at night and fish swimming plugs - yellow bomber on bright night, black on dark night. If I lived closer, I would be there. You might be surprised at what swims there in the dark!

I'm 10 mins from there. You think I'd be there more often

Definitely a weakfish!

Good news is they tend to stick around.

Hopefully the JB Bucket Brigade will allow them to at least grow to minimum size. As if they would adhere to 1 fish, 16" minimum.

I know what you mean - It only takes me 15 minutes from where I am - Maybe we'll have to hook up some time

That's so funny. I took my daughter with me and she asked why not keep it, it's just one fish. I took the opportunity to define ethical for her and said, because it's not the right thing to do. The rules are 1 fish ay 16 inches. She said, so, I said, it's the ethical thing to do. Ethical is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching you

Sounds good. I bought a ton of stuff for surf fishing. Haven't touched it past 5 years. As well has still buying 4x4 permit. Sits in my visor every year.
