But nothing edible 😞

Had a very busy 4-5 hours on the surf today tossing clam and bunker for the whole incoming tide. Up until the last hour no weed and no sweep. I had my first fish on 2 minutes after the first cast and almost constant action the whole tide. Unfortunately it was all sand sharks ( up to 40 inches)and a couple bite offs from what I think were blues. The highlight of the day was when I hooked into my first ever Ray! Well the stories are true, what a fight. It took me 25 minutes to get this fish in close enough to cut my leader. I actually had to take a couple breaks to rest my arm😂.

Better on a beach than in an office!

All those years fishing and your first ray ?! Probably hoping it is now your last ray. The last year I had my boat I hooked into one with my friend and his adult son aboard. Quite a show for them and I was beat after what seemed like twenty minutes and that was fighting it from above.
