After my outing to Shinnecock Monday, tide & wind looked good to fish Plum Gut this morning, apparently it looked just as good to over 2 dozen other boats also. My first thought was doesn't anybody work. Made a few drifts with the crowd & released one bass that looked a little over the slot. Moved over to the less crowded east side & ended the morning with three more bass putting a fat 30" bass on ice. With half the tide still to run. decided to call it, looked like some Capt's were ready to play bumper boats. back on the trailer & home by 10:30, a good morning.

Wow, not the place to play bumper boats.

Fishing the bunker has been fun but frustrating with some of the recent shenanigans!

People don't get it.

As much as I love Bass fishing in the Gut it does attratct lot fo traffic at certain times. Tomorrows stiff west winds will keep some of the amateurs away.

I'm glad I don't have to deal with the weekend crowd on that front for another 2 weeks. Most of my trips lined up are for inside stuff. For that very reason, I am not really looking forward to the Full moon Sat 6/22 trip

You are 100% correct John...too many retired and "home office" guys are making even the weekdays a challenge! Glad you caught your dinner.

Bumper boats, a long-forgotten LI event for me. My bass are sure smaller since we're on the Northern Fringe of the Migration, but trading that off for the nighttime bumper boats tournament with the pinhookers in the Gut on the Full/Moon is a no brainer. Definitely too old for that crap...
