We were planning on fishing for smallmouth but decided to hunt down something bigger. This was West Sound action at its finest as we caught and released at will.We found two in the slot for dinner and more bass in the 30-pound range than I've seen in years. As you can see in the photo, it was an absolutely gorgeous day with practically no one fishing. Strange, surrounded by over 8 million people, in the best-striped fishing grounds in the world, and no one was taking advantage of it.
