Tough Day

Got out to the grounds in the Peconic a little early for the start of the flood & waited out the slack. When the tide started to run the forcast 5 N/W turned into a steady 10 east which made for a 4mph drift, combined with the flood tide , too short a drift & too many boats for the drift sock. Had bass a couple days ago on the spoon but I couldn’t work it with the fast drift, switched to a bucktail on a three way & managed one short bass before calling it a wrap.

Have no fear, John, they will be in the Gut very soon!
