Had some time this morning, before having to finish things around the house this afternoon. Ran down to captree for a quick 4 hour trip. Started in the usual early season spots, slow pick of shorts but after some moves things heated up. I only had 1 short (17 inches) boat had some nice 20"+ come up. Just felt good getting back on the water. Seemed the plain Jane rigs outfished the usual bucktail, teaser etc. My short came on the Lep B/S rig of course 😉. Christing the new setup with a fish will have to wait another day.
