Yeah, totally convinced that the Fat Lady had sung, but it was such a pretty morning, with the perfect tidal window, so I grabbed the boat keys. Motored up to "the spot" and the first cast to "the spot" and I was shocked to see a definite striper swirl at the popper and 2 pops later, it was FISH ON, at least for ~10 seconds.
Had 2 other definite striper swirls at the popper. There was another cast with interest that was probably a mackerel, and one other brief hookup that was probably a big mackerel.
Guess what I'm up to tomorrow at dawn???
