Put the boat in this AM at the town ramp in Jamesport, Couple of throws with the cast net, & had a few dozen peanut bunker in the livewell. The plan was head for the Shinnecock inlet & out to the area where I had Mahi Mahi before the storm moved through last week. The N/W was stronger than forcast which made for a flat inlet, but whitecaps in the ocean. Slow ride out to the grounds, & couldn't find the Mahi, don't know if the heave from last week scattered them, or the drop in water temp sent them packing. Last week showed ocean temp 74deg & today I showed 65. On one spot I did find some amberjack, fun to catch & not bad for the table. A bumpy ride home, but a good day on the water.
