Fluke

I get a call from my brother about meeting him at the Canal for a quick trip. So I stop home and my wife and daughter jump in the car with me and we are off. My son was finishing up at the gym and meets us there. Get all the rods set up and my son starts rocking the robins. First one and I reach down for the leader and the bucktail comes out of the fish and ends up past the barb in my hand. A little surgery and a good yank and I got it out. Ouch!!

We all had a few robins and really short fluke. But he gets a bump and managed a plump 20 inch 2023 fluke! We just finished cleaning up as the first one needed to be cooked right after the trip. The only picture is the one below. Hello fluke sandwich 🙂

That looks like a good sandwich. I got some fish in the freezer and I'll try making it just like you did.Grilled Cheese lettuce over breaded fluke . I'll add some Tarter sauce . Did you add Zucchini /Cucumber ?

Pepperidge farm Hawaiian Sweet Bread toasted, sliced cheddar, lettuce, pickles, tartar sauce, russian dressing and of course the freshest of fluke fillet!
