Headed to the Peconic today at the urging of a friend who did well with slot fish on yesterdays tide. The action for me was steady with all bass short of the slot. On to the porgie grounds where the bite was a little slow but steady with large Peconic porgies, kept enough for dinner & released many more. Now for the suprise catch of the day which was six mylar balloons captured on the way back to the ramp. Beautiful, but cold morning on the water. Waret temp 55 deg.

Fished the Sound for the first time in 2016 and was shocked at the amount of balloons floating around out there, very sad indeed. Definite culture shock as I don't see more than 1 or 2 a season out here...

John has a great day fishing, then cleans up trash, shares his story and you gotta go there??
