Copied from FB page MARILYN JEAN FISHING. Tony is a great guy. Enjoy your retirement.

“Over the last few days I’ve shared this news with a few people, and word is starting to get out, so it’s time to make it official.

Thank you all for 20 incredible seasons.
When I started this business 20 years ago, I was told I was nuts. I was told it couldn’t be done. I was told the industry was dead. One clown even screamed, “You can’t reinvent the wheel,” when I chose to prioritize people and customer service over fish — the model that had dominated for decades before me.
Well… 20 years and six boats later, I guess they were wrong.
“ As of January 1, 2026, I will be transferring ownership of We Catch ’Em Inc. and the Marilyn Jean IV to my crew, and I will officially be retiring.
I will remain on as an advisor for a period of time to ensure the boat is maintained to the standards I’ve set over the past two decades, and that our clients continue to receive the level of service they’ve come to expect.
The crew will proudly continue the Marilyn Jean tradition — putting client needs, boat maintenance, and safety first, always.

Best of luck to Captain Tony (Pelican) and the entire Marilyn Jean crew as they carry this legacy forward.
From the bottom of my heart — thank you for 20 unforgettable seasons. 🎣❤️”

I remember Tony from Noreast and the Bashes we used to have. IIRC he would come to them and was always generous with prizes for the raffles we would do to raise money for different charities.

I know him well and knew this was coming. I had one of my more memorable days fishing with him last year. It was Sept 10 and there we were fishing along side of the Statue of Liberty. An amazing site and experience.
