Granted, I don't fish at night and just fish at my town's sandy open ocean beach, but this is the worst I have ever done casting lures into the Atlantic.
After two trips I just went a few more times total, opting for optimum tides, reports of no weed, etc. but the worst season for me. Ever. Thank God I got a Bambi and a
freezer with lots of weaks and fluke still in it. Merry Christmas to all !

Catching is a bonus, having time to actually fish is preciouThink I am done in surf 2022. All rats and schoolies past couple days and sunsets gently released. I like what I saw feeling strongly positive about slots, circle hooks and of course the menhaden purse seining moratorium. 3 cheers👍

They taste like potato chips fried. Add a little salt and sprinkle some vinegar on them. Excellent!!

I am FINALLY hearing reports of herring to our West. We @ Magnolia Pier are still waiting. Zero for me last night. I will be heading to Mags later this AM to continue harvesting the BIGGEST BADDEST spearing for spring 2023. If herring show same, for them. 🙂
