No, can't say that I do - and I know of many such boats in my area. It's odd, because I've fished out of Freeport for a ton of years, and have never seen this boat. Maybe he's recent transplant?

Seems like a lot of hours on the engine.

That's a bunch of hours on a gas engine, for sure. However, assuming it doesn't burn oil, those kind of hours are indicative of an owner that takes excellent care of his boat - and doesn't push it to be a speedboat, which no Shamrock is. A quick compression test would tell the story, regarding remaining engine life. I bet she's got at least another 500 to 800 hours left in her. Those recent repairs and upgrades are all in about $1500 in parts alone - not counting labor.

Also, the beam is 8', not 8'6". Still, a very nice boat that can really take the punishment of a bad day offshore - for relatively short money. I've had mine for 26 seasons, so I do know this hull's capabilities fairly well. 😎

No trailer ?

You don't want to trailer a 26' inboard boat with a deep keel, trust me. Its a handful for my hauler, even with his $50K hydraulic trailer. That reminds me, I have to set up my haul out/haul home appointment with Hippie Chic. Thanks!

Follow-up. So the fella that bought this boat is now in my marina - and he, being unfamiliar with the specifics and nuances of this type of hull, came over to my slip for some "Shammie-talk." That turned into a
45 minute conversation, as we went thru my rig, system by system. Real nice guy, open to suggestions (unlike myself - sometimes 🙄) and willing to consider options and operations that differ from his original thoughts. I like him and will help him bring his new rig up to snuff, where and when I can.
