Due to the rain this morning no work. So what else to do but go fishing. I had a few errands to run at prime time tide but still managed a hour of good incoming tide.
Second drop I get a nice size one. I’m like ohh this is going to be good. Next 1/2 hour all micro size.
After that nonstop 6 inch seabass. Once the tide stopped so did the catching, but I’ll take it, better than working.

Each summer I tell myself to anchor (yes, even with the yak) and bring home some blowfish and kingfish. And for the last three years the weaks are in and I am obsessed with those beauties. (Of course I would probably have to use bait, huh?)

Hit a few local docks in Peconic Bay with a chum pot and clam bait. Caught small porgies, mini sea bass, a 16" fluke, and enough decent sized blowfish for a meal or two. Taking the boat out tomorrow to see what else is around.
