Found Bluefish blitzing on rainbait at the inlet. I was more interested in the porgies. Took a little while to find them, but once I did it was drop and reel. I prefer not to use bait so I used a small diamond jig. I found that it usually works to cull the larger fish. On light tackle these big porgies are tons of fun.

Took home 10 porgies to 17".
I did try a few drifts for fluke, around the Marine Park Bridge. Not much action, but found a few shorts. Overall fluke has been disappointing this season. Hopefully it improves.

Honestly this is the best n longest run of the bigger scup in a few years

Fishing been really great

Jigging is a blast and does tend to entice the larger specimens
