I mentioned the other day that the Smithtown Bay and surrounding areas seem to be heating up. Well if you're like me and love your sound fluking, now is your best shot at a limit.

I left the Nissequogue at 5pm to catch the incoming and on the first drop we had non stop action for 3 hours straight! We kept 8 up to 21 inches. You couldn't put a bait down. I used straight Gulp of every color you could imagine. They were on some decent sized sand eels and baby manta shrimp. If you've been hoping they'd return, they did.

We never went more then a minute without a strike. We also got to finish up with a special sunset.

Nice job on the fluke hull, one of our keepers actually spit up small crabs there definitely hungry and as the water warms are on the feed
