Nice Knot to Try - somewhat similar to the Berkley Trilene Knot

I like that this knot has two "loops" thru the swivel or hook eye - which is one more than the Improved Clinch, which has been my go-to for my entire life. Of course you could do a Palomar and get similar results, but this is one I will try this season.

Yes, I agree that the Palomar is easier to tie. But sometimes its not possible to make that last "over the top" loop to complete a Palomar, because of a long leader length or some other factor. That's why I rely on the Improved Clinch for those times. This knot looks like it will stand up a bit better than the Improved Clinch, because of the doubled-up line in the eye of the swivel. Eh, I'm gonna try it out soon.
