Sorry for the late report. Got home late. Yesterday my dad and I went fishing at the canal and fishing was very good. Mixed bag of sea robins cocktail blues blowfish Giant hackelheads. I had 2 blues and 3 blowfish and several sea robins my dad had sea robins Hackelhead and blowfish. For the blues I was using my gold jig and for the blowfish and sea robins I was using shrimp I bought at key food. There were fluke caught by others in the canal but all were short. I tried a bucktail and whole shrimp for fluke but no takers. No fishing till next week looking forward to my next trip. Tight lines

Thanks for the report.
I haven’t seen a hacklehead in over 20 years . I’m curious, what size where the blowfish?
Good to see you had steady action.

With the blowfish use 1 to 2 ounce sinkers and flounder hooks and frozen shrimp from key food or any supermarket. Make sure you have plenty of hooks and sinkers it’s an unforgiving bottom there
