Headed out early the morning the plan was to troll some bass then go fluke fishing, I received a tip to stay on the north side of the bay as I Usually troll the state channel, but boy did my tip pay off not 10 minutes into the troll and the rod started bouncing fat 27” bass that continued for a hour or so boating 10 fish and dropping a few things slowed down so went in search of fluke in the state channel found about 10 boats and two party boats working the Lindy cut cedar area nothing doing one sea robin after about 2 hours of not a bite we decided to head west in the state channel I tossed the trolling rod in at one of my hot spots and bam fish on over the next hour boated another 12 fish and finally found one at 28 1/4, the fish were so thick you could almost say get ready any second and sure enough the rod would start bouncing all in all great opening day for me

What were you using on the shallower north side of the bay, umbrella rigs?
