I had a feeling I'd find some bass in Shinnecock, so I hit the water at 2am to get a 3:30 high tide. I had fish immediately. None were much bigger than the one pictured, about 26 inches.

I worked the last 90 minutes of the incoming and first 60 of the out. Five of the seven fish I got were during the last of the incoming. Two were caught during the out, but those were fish I spotted in the shallows finning around. I was away from any channels by then and was heading back to my launch. Ended my trip with a beautiful sunrise.

Life is good. Go catch some of it!
