Left dock at 5:30am this morning and headed South of the VZ looking for some stripers. By 6:30am the area around Sandy Hook was like a parking lot. My brother's first cast with a shad got him a nice 39" striper. We struck around for @ 45 min and picked a few more bass between 28 to 32". Couldn't take the crowds any longer (1/2 the boats were trolling and half were jigging) so we went exploring. Caught a few more fish to the West on Chartruese jigging spoons. We quit by 10:30. Nice day and some nice bass.
