It’s better than flushing meadows park

Today I went fishing at kissena park and fishing was very good. I had two bullhead catfish and several runoffs then the fishing shut down. Decent size catfish today. Here are some pics. View attachment 47269View attachment 47270

Fantastic! The fish of my childhood coming from the lake I grew up fishing! I am glad to hear it is still pretty clean and full of fish. I have not been there since the mid 60's but the photos look the same, to the best of my recollection.

In addition to fishing, I played a ton of ice hockey on that lake when I was younger. Due to its relatively shallow depth and the much colder winters we experienced back then it was a very popular spot for both recreational skating and hockey.
