I am by no means a basketball fan.
But I’m getting ready to watch it now.
This small school from Jersey is inspirational. Let’s go Saint Peters Peacocks ?

Good run for St. Pete's.

Just realized 2 kids from my alma mater are in the Final Four, doesn't happen too often here.

AJ Griffin on Duke and RJ Davis on NC played together at Archbishop Stepinac HS.
They had a pretty good team in HS lol.

7th sede Stony Brook men's just tied for the longest game in CAA history (said the announcer) and beat #2 Drexel in double overtime. They weren't leading until overtime and it went down to .7 to play.

What an intense game. Wish my kid was in D.C. with them. But he had fun watching and critiquing on TV.

Great game. Gotta love a nail biter like that.

I'm kind of mixed about this one. My kid's #7 alma mater just beat my #3 in a close game. CAA championship finals is next. Probably against #1 Charleston.

Well hey, they managed to beat #3 and #2. You never know.

Only a few points in overtime separated the Seawolves from March Madness. They gave it a great try especially for a team that didn't have the best expectations. They really made the #1 team earn their win.

And all I can say, is if they'd learn to sink some free throws once in a while it wouldn't have even been close.

Oh well. There's always next year. Plus, the women's team is doing very well this year. Stay tuned.

Would have been so cool if they made it in

Looks that way. UConn has slightly better stats, but the SB men's stats weren't as good and they did very well. Still a ways to go, but fingers crossed.

Okay, fine. They're better. Although they're not playing in the same association, so how much the stats compare the two teams isn't necessarily a gimmie.

I didn't do a deep dive, and it's not like I really follow this stuff. If my kid wasn't involved in it, I wouldn't be paying any attention at all. But since I am I thought I'd mention the games. They were really good games to watch.

BTW, Stony Brook football had a perfect record last season. It didn't do them any good.

Well, the #1 sede Stony Brook Ladies didn't manage to overcome #7 Drexel in the final game. Statistics, you know?

My take is that the post season schedule is much more intense that the regular season, they weren't prepared for that and simply ran out of gas.

So, like the letters on our baseball team's hats, Next Year.

As I said before, I don't really follow it. Normally, I just don't have the time. The only reason I've been watching the games is because my kid plays at most of them, in the band.

Like the band teacher said, they play at more games than the teams do.

I hope your picks do well. Maybe you'll win a few $$$ from it.
