Misfit Kayak Fishing was up before dawn in pursuit of some stripers this weekend. Pete got to Shelton CT first and launched just before dawn. The first ferry wouldn't have me there for another two hours, so Pete had the early bite to himself. He also had a parking ticket! - something neither of us had experienced in our 6+ years of fishing there.

Pete had 3 bass tallied by the time I arrived, which cushioned the blow of a $100 ticket only slightly. He took it in stride.

As the morning wore on the warm outgoing water warmed even more in the sunlight and the bite improved significantly.20220326_112246.jpg20220326_112226.jpg
Included in the two dozen bass we caught was a fat 31-inch specimen; a personal best for me this (off)season.

Tight lines and well wishes to all from the Misfit Kayak Fishing Team!

$100 parking ticket, CRAP!!! If you kept that biggun' would be interesting to note if she had ripe roe in her, assuming of course it was a Mama. I'd bet that the Housie has some spawning going on in it...
