I'm curious if anyone has experience with these Rods. From what I understand due to health issues Gary Loomis sold his rod business. He then made a great recovery and started a new line of Rods. You can find them at edgerods.com.

Nice. Expensive. Fairly Fragile.

Look at the new Shimano Expride B series. Rave reviews all over the Interwebs.

Edge rods look good too, but a bit pricey. I use some Loomis popping rods for shallow fluke. Have always heard they are brittle, etc. I must be lucky because they have been "banged" around by accident and so far no ill effects.

They use North Fork Composites blanks. I have built on them with decent success (BB805, XRay Neo MB765, Xray SJ703). Did break one lifting on a snag (SW768), but NFC sent me a replacement blank for no charge. The built ones (Edge) seem a bit overpriced, but NFC runs lots of blank sales and you could likely get one built by a local rod builder for a decent price if you so please. I would recommend the BB805 or BB806 for fluke/blackfish. Lots of guys use them locally in NJ.
