hi friends,, before you guys get on my case about using live goldfish for bait,, i know using them are illegal,, but not in our lake 😎 😛😆,,,,, anyway we went to academy sports for some hooks,, 2 dozen live worms and 2 packs of soft baits,, after that we hit petco for 12 large feeder gold fish only 36cent each what a bargain?,,,,,, then we hit our lake with the goldfish about 245pm//3pm,,,... about 4pm i got this bass,,,,, had a few more slight pick ups but nothing,,,,, nothing for my bride,,, fished intill 530pm and called it a day,,,,,,,,,to catch these big bass you need patience,,,,,,,, this lake has big bass in it,,,so all take care,,,,,,,,, i think we will try saturday//sunday too ,,time????,,,,good nite all,,,,,,,,,,,, ><)))):>

I have not been freshwater fishing in many years, but I don't recall ever hearing that fishing with live goldfish is illegal. Any explanation why live shiners or other live bait is OK but not Goldfish?

Good point, I forgot they are an invasive species. I guess where goldfish are concerned, they should go from the fishbowl to the toilet bowl!🙂
