Any loss of life is tragic but this guy had to be bordering on the insane. Article said he left Mamaroneck around 6 p.m. Attempting to cross the Sound in the dark in a kayak with a storm brewing....that's more than just a few loose screws!

Turns out my sister knew this guy very well, he was the choir director at her church. He traveled the world and spoke 6 languages, apparently a very bright guy. Overconfident?

Now that I think about it, it must have been him that sung at my mother's funeral. ๐Ÿ™
