Jeopardizing the lives of first responders ??!! No sympathy for Darwin awardees.

Any loss of life is tragic but this guy had to be bordering on the insane. Article said he left Mamaroneck around 6 p.m. Attempting to cross the Sound in the dark in a kayak with a storm brewing....that's more than just a few loose screws!

Turns out my sister knew this guy very well, he was the choir director at her church. He traveled the world and spoke 6 languages, apparently a very bright guy. Overconfident?

Now that I think about it, it must have been him that sung at my mother's funeral. 🙁
