Well it’s nice to know I can still hold a reasonable grouping with my
Mp shield at normal self protection distance even double tapping

but man the new Springfield 45 from their custom shop shoots like a sob
I mean man it’s accurate as all hell even in my hands
Should be amazing once the trigger weight is dropped to 2 lbs

but the new bitch in the bunch is the Staccato 9mm p with optics
That thing is a beast
But a little trigger work to get it down to a crisp 2 lb pull should make it even better

I have a basic Springfield .45. Got it 15 years ago because I missed qualifying with one in the reserves and I hated the stupid Beretta that our military chose for political reasons to replace it back in the early 90s. In my arty unit I was assigned two different WW2 era 1911s. The first was a tackdriver, and its tolerances were fairly tight for a military weapon, similar to my own. The second was a true p.o.s. and the guys swore they could hear me walking up to the TOC because of its constant propensity to rattle even in its holster. My only 9mil is a CZ75, which is actually my favorite handgun, due to its accuracy and reliability. The CZ equipped virtually all the East Bloc police forces for years. Will be returning to the Mitchel range in the near future to "play" with my own "toys" soon. Won't go after Bambi until a frost or two- no vax for Lyme as yet.

Years ago I shot a lot of pistol
Both Olympic style all 5 courses of fire and our national match all three course

I think I’m going to take up ppc or just do some personal protection type activities

that’s what the staccato is for

I bought the 45 because it’s kind of a specialty piece
I’m still going to find myself a bullseye 45
Like the one I had years ago
Id love to find and replace all the ones I got rid of when I moved back to the city
But that will be both difficult and very pricy

I can not even imagine what it must be like for a shooting aficionado to live there.

It was great back in the day when I was in pa
With a little time effort and money one could Legally obtain most anything

this place is pretty damn close
The selection of true assault rifles and suppressors is outstanding
Military , para military and selfdefense knives galore
The gun shows are great

look online at the Guns available at delray shooting center you’ll drool
Not much in the way of hunting stuff but the other end he’s got covered well

I left the guns at the smith for the little adjustments or I’d post pics

Getting rid of my older mp shield

Not trying to rub it in
But I think I’m going to pick up a full auto something along the lines of an mp5 4 inch might even get a suppressor too just for kicks and giggles

All but 8 uber lib states allow full auto firearms but isn’t the fed license an arm and a leg?

The grenade launcher wasn’t really a joke
I watched him send a nasty looking rig out the door the other day
Had every bell and whistle you could imagine
Full auto
Red dot
Laser
Suppressor
Spot light
And
Yes a fully functioning grenade launcher
Florida is a wonderfull place
If you can pay the freight
2500 to about 4000 for a full auto piece
1000 silencer
600 in tax stamps
Lord only knows what a mounted grenade launcher sells for
Plus the 1500 2 k for accessories
Bet he went 8/10 k into that piece

some of that post needs correction

full auto stuff is all pre 1986

and very very expensive
15 to 250k depending on what your taste and wallet allow

the piece that I thought was auto was a very fancy semi auto

Fortunately that Ruger is easier to clean than my Mark II. the Mark II is the only gun that I own that I do not religiously clean after every use.

That ones not that easy either
I did add the easy take down kit
So now it’s much easier
One Allen screw where that top pin used to be an apart she comes
