Despite a stiff WNW wind I was able to cast straight out using a 9' Lami and a 1 1/2 oz Kastmaster with teaser. Not a hit. No weed and very little sweep. Had to wear my waist waders and a windbreaker so I guess sandals, shorts and tee shorts are gone for a while. It takes about 25 minutes from home to my town beach but on arriving I was pleasantly surprised by the find of an almost brand new $15. plug. It was lying not 3' from the tide line and the braid had snapped about two feet up from where it was tied to a 30lb leader, not at the knot. Got stuff going on so it will be at least a few days before I give it another go.

Has to happen, hopefully you have enough bait to lock them into your area once they come down the beach!
