Returned to the Peconic today for a another chance at the weakfish, & arrived to find the area alive. A few drifts produced not much, but when the tide began to move it was pretty much non stop action with mostly short weakfish, except for two keepers including a 27" beauty. All fish released to swim away & winter where they wish.

I was planning to take my charter of somewhat novice anglers out to the Sound for Sea Bass tomorrow but it looks like the wind might be a bit strong for their taste. I was wondering if the Weaks were still hanging around the Peconics and you confirmed my speculation. Looks like I will have to give it a try.
