Had another nice trip this AM, cut short by the necessity of me getting back before the tide closed to door to my dock due to a AM meeting in town. You know with all those crazy new events in the Summer Olympics, the Stripeahs and I conspired for a new one, Moored Boat Slalom.

As I was casting my popper in a small field of moored boats, I tossed a cast pretty close to a nice smaller sailboat. Immediately my brain reported, "That was F-ing stupid!! If a large fish grabs your plug-- SMASH!!!!!-- and heads down the cove like she doing right now you IDIOT, you're going to have to back the boat down NOW and pray you don't run aground, smash into the other boat or run aground!!" Had to run over to the helm, throw the boat gently into reverse and avoid the moored boat and gear, while keeping tension on the fish. Poseidon was smiling upon me and everything worked out, so pretty soon, Keepah #13 for the season was on the deck. Had two smaller fish for a fine AM outing, just another crappy day in Paradise...

Decided to have stripeah for suppah tonight so she came home with me. Now I'm running a streak with a keepah bass every trip for 3 consecutive trips. Looks like I'll just HAVE to fish tomorrow to see if I can keep the streak going; it's a dirty job, but someone has to do it...

I need to point ASMFC to your posts ๐Ÿ™‚ It's looking more and more like we need to increase the minimum in Maine to 29-inches.
