Notched 4 stripers to 28" today to bring YTD total to 400, and now going 66 consecutive trips without a skunking. Although I'm running about 150 fish behind 2020s pace at this time, the fish are running much bigger this year thanks to the class of 2013, as I've logged in 10 keepers already this year, as opposed to 3 in all of 2020.

Have some fillets in the freezer's inventory so today's Keepah was returned to fight another day...

I thought winter was pretty long up in your backyard. You are quite the conservationist throwing back a keeper Bass!
Still congrats on a solid season.

Actually I feel bad when I talk with my Jamesport friend who's next keeper bass will be his first...

I don't even bother to fish for them off my bay boat anymore. Nothing but schoolie after schoolie and I hate torturing baby fish without prospects for dinner. The only keepers I catch are off the beach. Anyway, as the surfcasters say, boat fish don't count LOL !

Once bait, snappers etc disappear, head to a beach in the late afternoon! ๐Ÿ™‚

I found these earlier in the month deep in the bay. So adding to my prior post, bring a blue popper or blue metal lip and hopefully some sort of cold front combined and you may be rewarded!
