Foggy Fishing Fun this AM...

Awoke to some fog this AM, but since I could see my neighbor's boat 220 yds away in the early morning light, the "Minimal Visibility Requirement" was met and off I went. It was slow going through the harbor, but once I got into the open bay the visibility opened up to a good 3/4 of a mile and I tore off the the fishing grounds!!

When I got there my high expectations were met. The first drift began inauspiciously, but as I thought, "I should have been hit by now..." BAM, a 26" fish crashed my plug. Put the boat back on the drift and there was a 25" fish attacking the popper, immediately followed by another 26" fish. When I got her in, a voice inside asked, "Want to take a break?", but a huge chorus of "F**K NO!!! echoed from all other parts of my brain. Caught another 5 fish in quick succession, and when the action slowed I was considering going to another location "after this next cast", when the plug got slammed by the 30" beauty below. By the time I got her in, started bleeding her out, and sorting the boat, it was time to change spots which I did.

The other spots were just OK, catching 2 at one, and then at the "last stop before heading home, a 27" fish allowed me to put an exclamation point on the morning. As I looked up I realized that the fog had really settled in so I knew I was in for a slow return to the barn with the radar running for safety's sake so I crawled home at 2500 RPM to the home dock. All in all, an extremely enjoyable morning!!

Sounds like a great day, Roccus. Congratulations!
Is my memory failing me or are you well ahead on the keeper count this year compared to last?
