Pictures of our offshore tile/tuna trip. We were able to pull golden tile, blueline tile and a couple of yellowfin tuna. Check Captain Dave facebook page for next offshore trip.

That's a lot, I'd have to save up for that trip, how are they eating I've never had any tile fish. Is this one of them 24 hr trips?

Tile fish are great eating. Caught them years ago on the old Ranger V out of Brooklyn
Left the dock at 10PM Starting fishing about 5:30 the next morning
Fished till about 12:30 That was plenty of time fishing was great. 7 hour steam home.

Many tiles in the 40 and 50 lb. class. My memory tells me late 1970's was the trip.
I have pictures somewhere.

Tilefish taste a lot like lobster, I thought 375$ for a 2 day trip was a lot, wow it's been 12 yrs since I went off shore.
Inflation I guess.

It was a three day trip. Left Thursday night came home Sunday morning. Went over 100 miles offshore to the canyons.

The price of diesel, oil, bait and a lot of other expenses add up

It all depends on the fish bite TWF. Sometimes they bite sometimes they don’t

I get it that you were out over 100 miles, I've taken many 3 day trips over 100 miles plus and still didn't cost that much, but again that was 12 years ago and I can see it costing what you paid, all is good.

@BillyA It sounds like a great deal to me. There's nothing like jumping on a boat, fishing for three days and then leaving with your fish all ready to eat! And let's not forget the best part, you don't have to wash the boat!

How deep are you fishing and what type of fishing gear is needed?

I remember doing a trip like that on the Viking. Left the dock at 7pm Thursday, steamed all night to the canyons, fished for cod all day (amongst other species) Friday night they went to Nantucket and we fished for Fluke Saturday. Back to docks I believe at 10pm on Saturday.
