snappers yet ?

Haven't even tried yet. Maybe in couple weeks when I'm on vacation.

Will probably try this week. I saw something chasing small bait in a Moriches creek on Friday. Looked like snappers, but cannot confirm.

caught two this morning. a 17 1/2" fluke got the first one, the second was shredded, probably by a bluefish. I then lost something good on GULP. Not my day I guess, but the snappers are starting.

Well, its ALMOST that time of year again. Anyone seeing them yet ?

Few tiny ones caught in Shinnecock on Saturday. Not many.

I did see some pics of them taken out of the canal recently.

and they are in. (my SE Nassau area anyway.) Used them Sunday but not very successfully. Brought home only a small blue for the barbie. My backbay area remains dead this late summer.

I saw them this weekend around the marina docks in Freeport. They are small.
