Good bite in back bay today

3 19"+ weaks in one hour this AM after the start of the outgo. All on white teaser with pink Gulp. No fluke. No kingfish yet. Very light breeze, if any, eel grass mostly gone and current slow while I was there. Noticed a funny sky and as others elsewhere here noted, its from the N Kaliphonia and Oregon fires. Paddled home with dinner after just two hours.

Last year the kingfish bit on the same pink Gulp the weaks wanted. I just downsized the teaser and Gulp when I remembered how good the things taste. (While the tackle shops don't appreciate it, except for a bucket of clam bellies I bought in 2017 and 2019, I haven't bought bait since I started kayak fishing in 2005.)
