Decided to make the run to the Gut this morning, the 10/15 south west with gusts made for a sloppy ride in bay , but also made for a fog free day, for a change. Arrived for the start of the flood, & if any bass were in the area the blue fish wouldn't let them at my offerings. After a few hours decided to run to the race, where the only difference was the blue fish were bigger & deeper, not my cup of tea, Back to the gut where after a few drifts I decided I met the blue fish, challenged the blue fish & they won, time to head for the trailer.

If you saw my report from the weekend, John, it seems the Blues are taking over. Started as just a few fish over a week ago but on Sunday it was a full scale invasion! I agree that while there are still probably plenty of Bass at both the Gut and the Race, the overwhelming number of Bluefish will make it tough for our bucktails/baits to get through the armada of "toothy ones".
May be time to start working the night shift to avoid the Blues.
