Wasn’t supposed to be the greatest weather today. Just can’t catch a weather break with Capt. Mike as we didn’t get out today. My buddy Frank said let’s try to get out so we met at his boat at 6.30. Light winds and light rain. We made it to our spot and had slack water. As soon as we had a little running water set anchor. The little guys were chewing. Finally I boat a keeper and then a second and third keeper, then the little guys came back on strong. We fished pretty much most of the tide and picked away. We came home with 7 keepers we released 2 keepers at 16” hoping for something bigger. But it didn’t happen, on a day that was supposed to be nasty 9 keepers is a good day. Wanted that two man limit but I am happy with our catch and the two keepers we released will fight another day. Our keepers ranged from 16.5 to 19”View attachment 108326View attachment 108327View attachment 108328Great job, Vinnie!
thanks. I did not appreciate that "Bight Region" is essentially the whole S. Shore!Yea. Weird they divide it
You would think North shore would be four fish and south shore three fish 🤷♂️We are talking about NY and thier regulations lol
Why?Fishing the north shore a lot more than south shore. There are definitely more productive tog fishing than on the south shore. As far as rocky bottoms, structure. I have fished south shore many years and the few spots tend to get fished out relatively quickly.
