Had a 1/2 day to try to get my buddy's son his 1st saltwater fish. NWS missed the forecast again.
Decided to look for some blues to jig S of Sandy Hook to get out of the wind. We soon found the birds and blues. The boys threw 017's on 10lb spinners for 3-5lb blues and quickly limited. Afterwards, we went into release mode for about 2 hours.
Home by 1130 to fillet the fish and clean the boat.
From my friend's son's reactions today, I think we've added a new saltwater fisherman to our ranks.
