When I retired I thought that from now on there would be no reason to fish in the rain, but sometimes time & tide are a draw that can't be suppressed. I looked at the tide tables & thought that it would be foolish to not go to Plum Gut, when I had nothing else to do, even though rain was in the forcast. Heading to the launch ramp I hoped for the rain to hold off at least until I could get the boat floating & get my rain gear on, strange on a day with little or no wind there were no other trailers in the parking lot. Got squared away & under way & the skys opened up while headind east. The rain was on & off, mostly on, & a short bas ate my bucktail, a few drifts later another short released, then hooked another fish that felt better & a 33" bass went into the box. Thats when that little voice in my head said "hey stupid, time to go". Headed back to the ramp & still no other trucks with empty trailers. A good, but wet morning.

TomorrowI just might see you there tomorrow if you go again, John. Planning to work the late morning stage of the tide. Swing by and say hello if you go.
