Special Event: This morning's catch, trip #10 for the season, resulted in my catch count going over 100. Nothing really big, best one was 25" and lots of dinks.
I would have quit earlier, meaning a < 100 count, but needed to kill time to get the boat to the dock and stumbled across the "nursery"...

Should I assume your talkin Bass?My bad, yes. I assumed that everyone here knows that I have a slight "problem" with a striped bass obsession.
I read somewhere that fisherman in Maine don't love the Stripers so much. They have a tendency to mess up other fisheries like salmon?
For Maine salt water fishermen, striped bass are really the ONLY game inshore, haven't been any bluefish around for at least 15 years.
Atlantic salmon are protected, so the only salmon fishing here are for landlocked ones, most of which are stocked, something I find repulsive. The only freshwater fish I'd consider targeting are native brook trout. Some day I'll go, but that means a few days less striped bass fishing and that never sits well with me...
