Well it blew a lot harder than I thought it would and wind against tide is never a good combination. Surprisingly we had a steady pick of sorts and one that just made the cut. I found plenty of bait off of Sunken Meadow and that's where the fish were. Once again those gulp sandeels worked best.
If you're looking for fuel there, you'll need to go into Long Beach. I was told that Stony Brook has problems with their tanks and they're closed until further notice.
If weather allows I'll be back out tomorrow.

Hi George,
New to the NYANGLER. Fished outside Port Jefferson Harbor, no bait to be found yet. 3 shorts for 4 hours. got killer with the robins.
Will be trying Smithtown Friday/Sat.

Welcome, Tommy. You'll see me out there. A blue Robalo with a t-top. That scares me that there's not many fish in Pt' Jeff. That is always the indicator.
I had to fish the Sunken Meadow side as it was blowing, but there were some fish and plenty of bait around. Good luck and let us know how you make out.
