The bass have been here, especially around Ponquogue Bridge, if you can time it. It's hit-or-miss if you're not paying attention to the tides.
That said, until this week it was almost exclusively cookie-cutter bass. Now it's bass and blues competing for bait. Guess what: Blues always win. So it's time for some beefy leaders. I was able to get about a dozen small bass each night, but now it's 6 bass and 6 blues. Nothing huge yet for me, but I'm checking nightly for the big boys to arrive from NJ and NYC.

Are you seeing more blues than in recent yearsI had almost no blues out east last year. I've seen a big increase. DEC was asking me if I'd been seeing more this year. A little conservstion goes a long way.
