Went out in search of some warmer water and do a little scouting and was rewarded with this hefty fluke! Safely released, can’t wait for opening day fluke!! Fished the outgoing tide, using small bucktails and diving plugs. Had small schoolie bass also. Hopefully a good sign!

I took a cruise around Freeport on Saturday and all water temps were 48 to 50 degrees. I never got to the "warmer" parts of the bay. Nice to see some fish finally showing up.
