Headed out with Frank Sr, Frank Jr and Franks Granddaughter Taylor. Wasn’t a bad ride across the sound got to our first drop and was about slack water. Got the lines in had instant life just no keepers quite a few 15” to 15 3/4 coming up. Tide started run out and by mid tide it was screaming, along with the breeze that kicked up and fishing got tough. Made another move and found more life. Franks Granddaughter was a first timer tog fishing and boy did she pick it up in a hurry. We continued to bounce around and pretty much picked all day. Just the keepers were scarce. We ended the day with 4 in the box and Franks Granddaughter was going home with dinner. Try again midweek.IMG_5068.webpIMG_5070.webp

Always good to have a Sacrificial Virgin on board to show the experienced people how it's done...

Looks like the winds will be blowing the rest of the week. Was fishing Westchester side all day yesterday and nonstops bites only yielded 1 16 keeper. Lot better than last week though where most all fish were very small. Lots of 15" fish yesterday. Just need the water to get colder.
