DESTINATION INFORMATION
HOW TO GET THERE — Wrightsville Beach is known as the epicenter of North Carolina offshore jigging,
but any angler headed to at least 20 fathoms in the spring would be well-served to bring some jigging
tackle to increase their odds when bottom fishing. Wrightsville Beach is on US 74, east of Wilmington,
best accessed by I-40 and US 421 from points inland, US 17 from north and south along the coast.
Any takers on this one? Would like to hear about your experience.
What am I doing here? 😉

I fished there about ten years ago on labor day weekend with Ken Mullins on the SWELL RIDER.It was a pleasurable experience and worth the trip.We caught red grouper another type of grouper that I don't remember the name,Giant jolt head porgies and grunts. Some Amberjacks and I think some sort of snappers.I know guys were jigging those giant Amberjacks offshore until there arms fell off.It was a nice area to visit and catch some fish from what I remember.
