My fishing buddy is moving from here in Massapequa (Nassau County) to the Rocky Point area. For me to join him surfcasting, can I park daytime after Labor Day and before Memorial Day at Smiths Point county park?
As a Nassau county resident, what if any fee to park? I tried contacting Suffolk county by email- no response, and the Parks phone line went unanswered. Assuming "use or lose" vacation days and / or the china virus is responsible,
I am relying on you guys for the skinny.

I can't find anything online either. It's been a while since I've been there, especially since moving out of that area 3 years ago. If you go on YouTube, look up GetReelBassFishing I've seen some of his videos from Smiths Point. Send him a message, maybe he can help you out.

I can't 100% say for Smith Point but I do know that there are 2 other Suffolk County Parks close to- Cupsouge and Meschutt and both guard houses at those 2 are unattended Labor Day thru Memorial DayThink you are spot on. I found some sort of a forum that said the same thing about Smith Point. I will be making the drive there more to see my buddy than to catch anything. Two keepers all fall from my town's ocean beach, and that is one more for a season than I usually get there LOL.
