Hello all, new member here and former member of the "old site".
I recently purchased a Daiwa Saltist 30HA which I filled with 30 lb mono for jigging stripers and blues. The problem is I hate these jumbo power handles. Does anyone know where I can get an old school reel handle like the ones on the Penn GTIs or Jigmasters? I already tried to switch them but Penn has a different attachment than Daiwa. I appreciate any help.

Chunkster - For sure the one above won't work, as its for a FW baitcaster.
JF89 - I cannot remember what the end of the drive shaft looks like on your reel, nor do I recall the dimensions. Can you take off your current handle and shoot a pic or two and post them here? If you have a caliper, the L x W of the end of that shaft would also help greatly.
It is possible that we can custom modify a handle that you prefer, even if from another reel manufacturer - but it depends on the dimensions of your drive shaft. This can get a little tricky, but its do-able.
Is this the reel and factory handle that you now own? Because honestly, its a pretty decent handle setup, in my opinion :

Chunkster - For sure the one above won't work, as its for a FW baitcaster. Thanks for the quick reply. Yes that's the handle. I've included pictures below. I've been jigging with a Penn 310GTI for the past 20 years and the motions of engaging the lever/disengaging the lever the second it hits bottom or after reeling up is almost second nature. These giant handles on the new reels are more cumbersome than convenient to me. It's not the end of the world if I have to deal with the factory handle but if anyone knows where I can get something smaller I'd really appreciate it.

So the shaft hole in the handle, is it 8mm x 5mm? If so, then an Abu Garcia power handle from a 6500c3 will physically fit your reel. But I do not know if the lock screw hole in the Abu handle is in the right place to lock up the handle cap nut. Maybe . . .

I am referring to the distal end of the drive shaft, which the handle fits onto. If that end has L x W of 8 x 5mm, then an Abu power handle will fit that reel. The thread dims are irrelevant, because the Daiwa handle nut can be reused.
