Been spending a lot of time on the boat out of J-bay in recent days and the bite has been excellent. But it's been strange. Usually at this time I'd find quite a few larger fish but the keep blackfish have been hard to come by locally, and I've mostly only seen and caught schoolies when it comes to their striped bretheren.
That said the spiny dogfish have been thick, large, and far too frequent. Anyone finding much different in the area?
